I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I have a Juris Doctor from Fordham University, and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis. I have worked as a lawyer, an editor, a computer engineer, a writer, a cook, and now, as a therapist.
I began studying to be a therapist when I found that I needed a new lens through which to understand myself, my relationships, and my community. I became my own first client and learned what made a good therapist through understanding how I wanted to work on my personal growth, including finding a safe space and an authentic, accepting, and empathetic partner to help reflect my experiences and patterns.
My therapeutic method starts with being an attentive active listener. I use open questions to help my clients expand on how they are feeling and where those feelings come from. I work with clients to identify patterns of behavior in themselves, with partners, and in community, and we examine together how those patterns serve them. We identify together underlying stories behind behaviors and if the assumptions and conclusions in those stories are still true. Through these methods, we work on making transitions and transformations that are conscious and work on letting go some of the old behaviors that no longer serve the client.

My interests include physical activities like hiking, cycling, and paddle boarding. I enjoy traveling and cooking. I practice yoga and meditation. I am familiar with Myers Briggs, Enneagram, Human Design, and other personality tools. I have explored more unconventional spiritual practices such as astrology, shamanism and Reiki.
I am affiliated with One Life Counseling Services in San Carlos, CA, and strongly recommend their therapists.
